Having recently joined the ranks of the self-employed, I've been discovering a whole new world of branding, social media marketing and administration work for sole traders and small businesses. That's not to say that I wasn't expecting it, but I was slightly surprised at the breadth and depth of it.
One of the tips I've seen recommended is to create regular content and publish this across a variety of media on a regular basis. With that in mind, I thought I'd maybe try out this new-fangled blogging!
This blog would be primarily focused on NetSuite, but I would also like to explore subjects like marketing, networking and, maybe, the odd personal post.
Creating a blog focused on NetSuite can be a valuable resource for users and businesses. This can cover:
Knowledge Sharing: Sharing insights and tips that help others maximise their use of NetSuite.
Community Building: Engaging with other users can foster a community around shared experiences and solutions.
Staying Updated: Providing the latest news and updates on NetSuite.
Personal Branding: Establishing myself as an expert in NetSuite.
Having spoken to other sole traders and small businesses, many find it difficult to find time or inspiration for regular marketing content and ideas. As I learn this area of self-employment myself I'd like to share what I've learned. We're not in competition with 99.99% of other small businesses out there, we're all in the same boat and mutual support is always welcome.
Finally, sharing the occasional personal story gives potential employers, partners, clients, customers, etc, an insight into my personality. Who people are and how they would work together is just as important as skills and knowledge, on many occasions.
